As many of you know I was a kindergarten teacher for 27 yrs. and probably quoted the alphabet every day. Summing up how many times I may have quoted those letters is about 9855 times or more within those years. Well, now that I am involved in a new endeavor in my life with the “It’s 4 uMom” outreach ministries; would you believe I am still quoting the Alphabet but in a great new way.

I want to share with you an idea I started about 11 yrs. ago: It is taking the letters of the Alphabet and giving a characteristic of God for each letter. I do this when I am in my prayer time, when I am driving somewhere, when I need to be encouraged, when I just need to see God. I started out with just one adjective, noun, or phrase about Christ, per letter, but sometimes I can say up to 10 characteristics with many of the  letters. You know, this little idea is between you and God and you can do as many as the Spirit of God leads you to say. It has become an encouragement to me and can be done 365 days of the year.

Here are some of mine:

A – Almighty, Amazing, Adviser, Able

B – Beginning, Blood, Book, Beloved

C – Christ, Counselor, Comforter, Capable

D – Deity, Designer, Developer, Defender

E – Eternal, Encourager, Enjoyment, Evaluator

F – Father, Forever, Forgiving, Fantastic

G – God, Grace, Gladness, Glory

H – Holy, Happiness, Hope, Hiding place

I – Infinite, Intimate, Inviter, Invisible

J – Jesus, Justifier, Joy, Judge

K – King, Kind, Knowledge, Kinsman

L – Lord, Love, Living, Loyal

M – Mighty, Magnificence, More than Enough, Mine

N – Noble, Now, Never ending, New Mercies

O – Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Only

P – Perfect, Promise, Provider, Protector

Q – Quick, Quiet, Qualifier, Quality

R – Righteous, Redeemer, Rock, Royalty

S – Savior, Salvation, Sanctifier, Son of God

T – Tender, Testifier, Truth, Teacher

U – Unifier, Universal, Understanding,  Ultimate

V – Virgin born, Victorious, Vibrant, Viewer

W – Wisdom, Worthy, Wonderful, Word

X –  eXceedingly Great  ( phonetically would be: Xceeding)

Y – Yahweh, Yesterday, Yours

Z – Zealous, Zion’s King, Zestful,

Taking time out of your busy day and dwelling on our great God, who is the King of Kings and Lord of all Lords, and to realize that He is the only way to heaven and that He came  that we might have life and have it abundantly, we can have a new refreshing day every day all year-long.   Take time to enjoy God!!!!!
